Naoya is like that cool uncle who always has fascinating stories and gets you sweet loot for your birthday but you're never really sure if he's in the mafia or not. Dave likes him, he likes talking to him and learning stuff about Earth that he never knew on account of not being there and also having a crap guardian who left him with a really skewed view of humanity, but he's sort of...concerned about Naoya's moral alignment, in that he can't quite pin it down. He's got half an idea of what the Cain and Abel story is about and has sort of gotten the idea that maybe he should watch Naoya more carefully to figure out what it is exactly the man is about, but not in a, like, "okay, you're evil, I can't be friends with you" way. He just honestly wants to know Naoya's story and how he deals with things before he comes to a conclusion about him. In the meantime he's totally chill with the dude, he's really cool and knows a lot.

Yeah Bro did not give the typical upbringing it's true. Naoya will freely admit that he's not the typical moral alignment but he has his reasons that he does not expect anyone else to understand. But if Dave wants to know about anything ever in the world just ask him. \o/
