[ Being without the Violet Gym badge herself, Yang is also in the area; not just for that, but also to train up a couple of her low-level Pokémon crew additions. When she isn't in the middle of a match, she's mounted up atop her "trusty steed" which, in her case, is a six foot tall Arcanine that has even more of a fabulous mane than she does.

Hey, she takes her Pokémon grooming VERY seriously, okay?

When her companion slowed down and chuffed in irritation, she knew it could only mean one thing. Yang readied a Poké Ball in her right hand and turned Rowdy to face down her next opponent. ]

All right, if it's a fight you want, it's a fi— Pyrrha!?

[ Rowdy growled, but Yang was quick to both holster her Ball and also put a soothing hand down between the giant dog's ears. ] Whoa, easy there, girl! She's a friend.

[ Talking to Pyrrha over the Pokégear, knowing she was here, and seeing her in person — especially after the events which the others had informed her about, but Yang had not personally witnessed — well. It was a relief that brought a big smile to her face. ]

[ Pyrrha's not wrong, but the compliment doesn't do justice to how little Yang still knows about all these. Yang chuckled and dismounted, giving Rowdy a pat on her flank. ]

Honestly? I don't have any steel types of my own. That's more Penny's style and she has like ten of these little guys already, thanks to the last swarm. [ She crouched when she was closer, extending her hand toward the Honedge, palm up. ] He's not stuck, is he?

[ The tension is less so on her end, but she figured things would be weird for Pyrrha, knowing what she knew, and probably saw with her own two eyes. Yang cannot resent the ignorance the difference in arrival times has granted her, but it sucked to not be able to share the burden with the others. It didn't mean she couldn't try to keep things light and be supportive, but the gnawing thought of "you weren't even THERE" wouldn't leave her so easily.

Yang smirked over at Pyrrha when her hand was stopped. ]

Do you have a shovel in your pack? I'm all ears on how I'm supposed to help without touching him. [ She jerked her chin back, gesturing at her fire-dog. ] I could have Rowdy give it a shot? [ That isn't a serious suggestion. ]
