...So she will have to dote on him over the gear. Which is possible!!! She will cheer him on and congratulate him for all of his small achievements.

Yeah! Positive encouragement would have Prussia weeping for joy (with his back turned, and assuring that he just got sand in his eye dammit...!) He'd latch onto her like whoa though - he always does when someone's nice to him.

I have a starting post with him fretting over his Torchic with no clue on what to do, if you want to dote on that? Or I can make a new post?
