Blurb: Duck used to be a duck! And before that she used to be able to turn into a magical ballerina princess with the aid of a pendant given to her by a creepy old author who liked to write tragedies. She's really psyched to be human again! She's stubborn, clumsy, awkward, spazzy, not the brightest bird in the flock, but she's got a huge heart, and she's very friendly and kind and energetic and enthusiastic.
Plans: Aside from having Duck catch a Ducklett and going swimming in Cherrygrove with Ty Lee (which will have to wait a couple of days's worth of travel time), Duck's pretty much totally open. She's not travelling with anyone yet, and I'd rather find her some travelling companions than have her continue on alone. She needs to meet some of the people she's been talking to over the comms in person!

Duck... sounds like someone Valeria would wind up liking and be hideously attempted to adopt, which I'd totally be game for. I also think Hikaru (will_to_burn) would get along with her really, really well. Valeria is currently in Violet and Hikaru will be relatively soon as she's heading there to pick up her friend Umi and will be staying there for a while. Network interaction is good, too. Let me know what you think?

Oh man, I was going to post to your post and then I got distracted by pigeons.

YES Duck and Hikaru are both short redheaded derps who are all about the Power of Friendship and used to be magical girls and clearly this is a good reason for them to be friends. They even have the same hairstyle! Broadly. Besides, Duck is already arguing with Umi over the comms.

Also Duck needs not!parents to look after her, even if only long-distance! She'll be staying in Cherrygrove for another two days, give or take, but she is planning on moving on to Violet.

Pigeons are pretty distracting with their beady little eyes and cute coos.

I'm sure Duck and Hikaru are going to get along splendidly then. It will be. Magical. They can teach Johto about the Power of Friendship.

Val is also pretty good at being a not!parent and looking after peeps younger than her, so it should be a pretty good match! She's also apparently pretty fond of redheads (case in point: her traveling companion is Lea [frisbees]). She also won't be leaving Violet any time soon and I doubt Hikaru will either once she gets there, so long-distance might be in-person at some point!
