Pokemon Guardian Corps

Some of you have heard of this already; our old friend Merlin and a lot of other characters had enough of Team Rocket being mean after the Mag Train incident and decided to do something about it, which ended up with the Corps forming. We've lost Merlin and a lot of characters in the period between November and March when things finally took off, but I digress.

Now, the main idea I have is that, since there's little proof that the trash attack and subsequent storms had anything to do with Team Rocket but there's hardly anyone else who could have done something that widespread, Lightning is going to somehow make another call for people to come and join the Corps. This will probably come down after the Outbreak due to how much chaos that's going to devolve into, but "sign-ups" are always open, as it were. Right now, joining depends on being told about the Corps and then grabbing either Lightning or Ven and asking for "clearance", but this will probably change soon. As soon as I can have a long chat with Ven-mun about the idea, anyway.

But, in the meantime, if you'd like your character to join up or just to plot with the Corps in general, a current roster can be found here, and like it says there, we're an equal opportunity group and can figure out something for anyone. Want your hero character to kick some butt with other like minded folk? Chances are you'll get your chance. Want your Rocket character to make chaos for those that stand against your comrades and earn some points with the higher ups? You might just be able to! Want to make chaos for the fun of it? Chances are you'll get the chance to do that, too!

I'm definitely interested in Apollo joining up. He just needs to find out that Team Rocket hurts Pokémon and not just humans and he'll be all over that. Based on his and Cobra Commander's interactions so far, it's possible that Apollo's name will show up on Cobra's next list, considering how petty Cobra is. If the PGC gets a hold of the new list they might look into him to see what he did to get on Cobra's bad side? Cobra-mun and I are keeping an eye out for a chance at them fighting each other, which could easily get very public. I should note that Apollo's illiterate, so locked text messages won't work for him until he's shown the text-to-speech function.

Oh, yes. If they get ahold of that new list, you can bet they'd do their homework on anyone who's one and warn them ASAP. Lightning's not letting anyone else get hit without warning like that, if she can prevent it. ...Not that Apollo would need much warning if the fighting between him and Cobra ends up so bad it goes public. ^^;;

And it wouldn't be much of a stretch to have Lightning start addressing the PGC via Audio instead of Text, if a text-to-audio reader thing can't be found for him. I've been using text because it lets her keep emotions out of the equation, but...eh. She's dealing with leading again fairly well so this might change up at some point in the near future.

Public humiliation for Cobra is the plan. Defeat by a 13-year-old mountain boy and an under-leveled Sentret. Hopefully televised. ^^

Oh I asked the mods before I apped, there's already that function. He just needs to be shown how to use it. No real problems there, it just means that until he's shown he won't respond to text posts.

Lightning will be there to smirk, that's for sure. x3 Cobra's got it coming. ...granted she'll also be there to warn Apollo about his "vengeance" and what it could possibly lead to, but details, details.

Something to work towards, then. :3 Shouldn't be hard....hopefully.

I'd love to have Charles in on this somehow. He's kind of flaky, >_> but he would definitely support the Corps and what they stand for. 8D He'd totally do freelance work for them... and help them out.

xD They can deal with flaky. It's betrayal they can't handle, so as long as Charles doesn't decide to go giving any intel to TR? They can deal. Charles wouldn't sell out a bunch of do-gooders, would he? ;;

He's just also not very committing to organizations in general. He'll help. He'll probably even try to steal Team Rocket stuff and give to the Corps!

Oh, good! They have enough enemies as it is; allies are always welcome. Even freelancers who Lightning would be so wary about at first.

xD He should get in touch with Carmen Sandiego, then. They could work together and keep Cobra so busy he'd never notice the Corps coming for him until it was too late! ...Or something.

xD they need a Kimblee division more than a Cobra one, at this rate. Ah, well. All fun and games~

Sion probably ought to get in touch with the corps sometime. He's not likely to formally join right now- he tends to do things his own way, especially if he thinks he knows better- but now that Team Rocket is actually starting to prove they can be a threat, the information exchange wouldn't hurt. Since Sion deciding the Rockets ARE a problem means he'll be looking for ways to deal with them.

There...actually isn't much intel to exchange from Lightning's end, to be honest. They'd welcome Sion's aid, but couldn't give him much other than a couple of names and hunches about others. Plotting hasn't gone down to get them usable intel just yet.

But, eh. Likeminded people will be drawn together; we can make it work somehow!

Sion actually might find it useful just having a secure channel to give information to- he's the type who works best when he's organizing/coordinating things, including feeding the right information to the right people. So there is that. XD

Oh, he'll definitely have that. No doubt about it; Lightning can certainly appreciate and use good intel. Once she's sure that Sion gives them valid intel, anyway. xD She's a bit paranoid these days.

Well, depending on how some plotting above goes, Sion may end up having quite the faceoff against a couple rockets, if that helps.

It probably would, actually! If it ends up on the network or he brings it up on the network, Lightning would no doubt end up pinged by it. From there, it should be simple enough to bring him into the fold.

Semi-military led by a former military woman...there would be a lot of responsibilities coming Nanao's way again, particularly if she ends up leading a Squad. Given her penchant for...trouble, it might be a bit much. ^^;;

Still, it's not like they'd turn down the help. x3 They'll be around if you ever decide it's a good thing to stick her in; I can't put Hitsu in here due to playercest, but Nanao? Open season.
