You'd have to make your own music, of course. There's no randomly downloading music from Amestris, for example. But if, say, Ed was singing in the shower, and Winry recorded it and shared it with the network, and Al saved that to his playlist, he could play it on his 'Gear.

How limited - or unlimited - is the music app (Music - If you're enjoying some songs way too much, feel free to download them! They're 5P a song.) anyway? Not that my singers can't just sing their songs without music, but just wondering.

Um... you mean like, what kinds of songs can be downloaded? I'd say anything that can be found on the radio is probably available.
And then I'm pretty sure there are instruments and other sorts of music-making/modifying equipment for sale in stores as well.

I need an Ikuto to play violin for Utau's background music...but could they sing their songs in a cappella/without instruments, record it with the gear and make a playlist of many songs and share it somehow?Or Mitsuki'll just learn how to use those music-making things... I envisioned some sort of: record it using the Pokegear, save it as the Johto equivalent of the mp3 file (which shouldn't be too hard to do, it's just record > save file, I'm assuming) and then distribute. Which is probably just, attaching the file.
Sunny can tell me if I'm horribly off mark \o/ but I'm gonna go with that.
It's also good CR, I guess, to make friends with other characters who can make music or something |D

It is! ...Except my new singer doesn't want music from any one else than *~~one person~~* and she's horribly stubborn with that. But that's her problem, not mine!
...Unless someone tried to play one of Utau's current songs with something... But that would end horribly to her bitching that something was wrong there on the part whatever with whatever that was wrong. ... Or just the fact that it's not Ikuto. ...uh, yeah. I'll just keep her music as her own thing.
