I've got a lot of headcanon built up for this guy, so chances are, if you ask me something, I've got a definite answer!

What does Hope like to do in his downtime, when he's not saving the world with SCIENCE and what not? Does he have hobbies outside of enjoying history?

Observing the local wildlife! It's a remnant of his previous time here as a kid and he has a soft spot for animals. Some of his interest can be seen from a scientific standpoint, but really, biology isn't his forte and besides, what better way to get away from the wires and metal parts than to look at fur, feathers or scales and actual living creatures?

He'd have some sheep and a chocobo if he could, but alas, his house wasn't exactly the safest place to keep pets. But that didn't stop him from riding chocobos near the expedition sites during his breaks.
