Crowning Moment of Awesome Meme

Everyone has done something awesome in their lives, whether it was being a total badass and saving the world or just talking down a schoolyard bully, and apparently, someone recorded that awesome moment (or wrote it down or made a comic about it or what have you). Now that awesome moment has been posted everywhere, and characters get to react.

Rules!

1. Find an instance of your character being awesome in canon.
2. Post links to videos, embed pictures, copy and paste passages, so on and so forth, as many as you like. People can pick and choose what they react to, or react to all of it.
3. Please include trigger warnings if they're needed and don't put more than one large picture (or two small ones) in a single post, and instead link if you want to add more.
4. Tag around and let's get this party started!

Reid CAN use his babbling powers for good.

Manages to avoid a shoot-out without anyone else noticing.

She's from a survival horror game. There's going to be a LOT of blood. Also there is a subtle undercurrent of twincest in nearly every scene Mio and Mayu are together in, or at least Mayu have an unhealthy attachment to Mio.

I can't really pick just one scene since I consider Mio surviving all of this a Crowning moment of Awesome in and of itself. I'll go in chronological order with some of my favorite cutscenes instead.

Meeting Sae and the Kusabi in the great hall (Warning for dead bodies and a death throe and crazy laughter)

Finding her missing sister all by herself

Having to leave behind her twin again (bonus flashback when they were kids!)

losing her sister AGAIN (THIS IS A RUNNING THEME AND IT'S VERY ANNOYING)

and of course I cant leave out the canon end. (Really begins at 1:32 and ends at 4:35)

That time Ryner broke a resonating Alpha Stigma crystal and managed to not go insane (goes until 15:38). This is a Big Deal, because he broke its hold on him by himself, without outside help. No other Alpha Stigma bearer has ever done this.

(Also noteworthy is that the anime doesn't show this, but there are a bunch of kids who are also affected by the crystal, and Ryner breaks free in order to save them.)

Cobra Commander | G.I. Joe

Considering Envy is a villain, the majority of his crowning moments are crowning moments of doing terrible things, but here are the two clips I could find! Both are also major end of series spoilers.

Envy manages to force his way through a place he shouldn't be able to and also turns into a badass dragon. (also counts as a Crowning Moment of Stupid/Envy what the hell were you even thinking)

From 0:40-2:14 especially: messing with heads and ridiculous backflips. ...and 2:14 onwards for Crowning Moment of Terrible Person. Warning for gore near the end.

Let's face it, he comes from a shounen anime that consists in about 85% of Crowning Moments of Awesome, but I can't really find them all right now thanks to a certain site taking off all the episodes. Regardless, enjoy!

There are loads for Sasuke that I can think of, but I would be here all night putting them up in this post if I tried to think of them all. So I'm going to give you the one that a) immediately stands out to me and b) is when I really started to adore him as a character.

This (warning, Sasuke is pretty badly injured so pic is not for the faint-hearted). Sasuke, thinking that Naruto is about to die, does something no one expects the selfish Uchiha to do; he sacrifices himself in order to save his comrade's (and eventual friend's) life. He was prepared to give up everything -- even his all-important quest for vengeance -- just to make sure that Naruto (and hopefully in turn the rest of his team) survived. At the time, it had really looked like Sasuke had died as a result, causing Naruto to go into uncontrollable rage.

Miyuki's Crowning Moment of Awesome™ was effectively this: she went up against a team of nationally-ranked middle school tennis players in someone else's defense. She got her ass handed to her, but she refused to give up.

She's ultimately saved by the guy she's trying to protect, who was (fucking finally) inspired to action by her courage and determination.
