But I really like CR that engage Reid on an emotional level as well as an intellectual level, so friends, ships, mentors, and things like that are extra love. I actually really like ship-teasing, since the poor boy has no clue what to do with stuff like that and it's fun to write him flailing.

When the tournament's over and Sion heads back to Johto area, he REALLY wants to try to get more in touch with Spencer. Spencer INTRIGUES him. >_>

Reid intrigues a lot of people. It's a talent. x3

But yeah, yeah, let's do something! Reid is generally the kind of guy who doesn't know how to do social interaction, so he's probably not going to try initiating interactions with Sion until he feels a little more comfortable with him. But that can easily be fixed if Sion can find some way to make Reid comfortable, which will probably happen on its own with a prolonged acquaintanceship if Sion doesn't start picking on Reid for his eccentricities.

Haha, well, Sion will probably keep responding to Spencer's posts whenever there's an opportunity, if that helps! In fact, I think I meant to tag your last one and then derped and forgot to. |D;;

And pffft, Sion's used to eccentric people, you should see some of the people who act as his closest cohorts back home... XD

Then slowly, Reid will get more comfortable with him. If Sion needs help of the intellectual nature from Reid, that could also grease the wheels of interaction a bit, since he's a generally helpful guy.

Oh, Sion will definitely be angling to try to pique Reid's interest with nerd-type things. If nothing else, he and Ryner have amassed a pretty fair collection of legends throughout the region, so he can certainly always bring that up as something he's seeking input on at some point. ^_^

also I fully intend to have Carmen flirt with Reid forever because she has NO SHAME and would flirt with a rock so buckle up for that as well, I suppose.

Unfortunately, Amanda is part of the package. Don't worry, she'll (mostly) behave herself, because Reid's a responsible trainer who teaches his ~~problem child~~ Yamask manners.

Reid will require an invitation because he's still all 'AM I CONSIDERED THEIR FRIEND IDEK' and sometimes he needs to be hit over the head with stuff. And then he'd drag along Mio because they are rapidly becoming a singular unit.

Also, can I say that Carmen/Reid flirting is hilarious? Carmen managed to hit on one of the few things Reid is actually confident enough to flirt with, and that's trivia. If they start using magic tricks and piano, they'll hit the perfect nerd trifecta.

(Don't worry, Amanda, Carmen has to sleep outside, too. YOU'LL BE IN GOOD COMPANY.)

As for the piano thing, I don't know that it'd be a hot priority for him to acquire one, but it's always possible that there was one that came as part of his house? Or if all else fails someone can lament the lack of one on Thanksgiving and then I'll just pull shenanigans somehow to make sure he's got one installed by Christmas. >>

Commenting to add: I'm always especially interested in negative CR, and since I'm a horrible, horrible person, I like being mean to Reid. If you have negative CR and/or ideas of mean things to do, extra love for you and I'm all over that. I have a very strong stomach, so feel free to suggest anything; the worst I can do is ask to tone it down. :3

Just driving by to mention that your whole subplot with Amanda over Halloween was amazing and really interesting to read and also got me to look up Spencer's canon (though my research tells me I might be a little too squeamish to actually watch more than clips of funny scenes on Youtube...).

Also I want to find an excuse to tag Spencer some time. The main issue is just finding something Ryner would actually be pinged by, but that's mostly just a matter of me thinking about it.

Well, what would Ryner by pinged by? Maybe I can work something in. :) I can't tag much with Reid outside of his own posts, mostly because he's shy as all hell, but we could try working out a way for them to talk. He's usually pinged by his areas of expertise.

(That'd be great if you could ^^ I'd definitely be interested in watching a least a couple.)

What catches Ryner's interest really kind of depends on the day and how it's presented, in a way. The best chance would be discussions of legends or magic, but occasionally other things interest him too. Like cool things you can do with technology, or certain types of Pokémon, or other random things sometimes. He's also got a menagerie of twenty mons (...sob when did he get so many) that can prod him into saying something if they're interested in the topic, but their interests tend to be somewhat harder to predict...

(Don't know how you're squeamish, but here you go: I consider The Uncanny Valley, Heathridge Manor, and Mosley Lane to be among the best episodes, and there's very little blood or explicit violence in any of them, but there's implied and/or confirmed incest in Uncanny Valley and Heathridge Manor, all three involve some kind of child abuse, and Mosley Lane WILL make you cry. They're all really intense to watch, so if you need something a little easier but still with minimal blood, Self-Fulfilling Prophecy is really good, but there is a theme of suicide and bullying in that one (although I remember pumping my fists and saying 'fuck yeah' at the end, so it's fun).)

Well, someday when Reid's more settled, he's going to start work on making an fMRI and he's going to make a post asking people for various materials/mons/expertise he needs for that, so you think that may pique his interest?

Yeah, we can do something. :3 I'm afraid I'm canon blind, so I don't really know how they would meet beyond 'oh hey our munnas are related', but Reid needs more friends who can deal with feelings so I'm all up and ready for that.

I really like the CR these two have so far, so I'd definitely be up for developing it in the future! Coincidentally, Crow's pretty good at dealing with feelings (... that aren't his own), if that helps.

So do I! Reid likes Crow, but doesn't want to make him uncomfortable with his cop profiler-ness (and he fails so hard at not doing that). How do you think they'd get closer?

HE FAILS HARD INDEED, but it's not something Crow can't learn to live with. Generally, he's pretty easy to bond with as long as the other person isn't a complete asshole to him (which Reid thankfully isn't, much to Crow's surprise, given he's a cop and all), so that shouldn't be too hard.

... Coincidentally, I've just discovered this morning that apparently Crow tagged along with friends to Albert's Thanksgiving party, so I could belatedly throw him at Reid there, if that's okay? c:

Well, Reid's the furthest thing from an asshole you can get, so yep, it shouldn't be to hard.
