I just have to say, I am constantly blown away at how incredibly kind, friendly, and welcoming the people I've met here have been since I apped seven months ago. I had my trepidations about joining, not least of which because I knew next to nothing about Pokemon prior to arrival and have had to pretty much learn everything on the fly, but everyone has been so phenomenally helpful and understanding and just generally amazing, it's ridiculous to me. I definitely don't regret joining, nor do I regret having the chance to meet and play with all of you. You're beautiful, Route, and I'm glad to be a part of you. ♥

Let me start this off by saying: I know nothing about PoT. Big fat zero. Hate sports manga, give no fucks about tennis in general, and so on. And yet. And yet!

So first we get this big tennis cast and, of course, because this always happens with big casts--it happened with KH cast when we were bighueg--there was a lot of in-cast threading and comparatively little out-of-cast threading. Again, normal. But Alex, you had just...not sure how to express this. Reached out? Stretched yourself? Exploded? Basically you've really gone out of your way to net (lolol i'm punny /shot) Yagyuu some great cross-canon CR (of which I am lucky enough to be a part) and, in my eyes at least, he's really blossomed as a character and I now have a lot more personal stake in him. You have made me give a shit about a sports manga character. How. I don't. How.

And you--well. You're lovely, does this even need to be said? You're sweet and kind and intelligent, jesus you're sharp sometimes, and the amount of depth that goes into your roleplaying in general just baffles and amazes me.

No, but really, of all the compliments in the RP world, there aren't many that are nicer than "you made me care about something I wouldn't have otherwise cared about". ♥ I'm glad you enjoy him, and doubly so because it means you'll have incentive to keep throwing Nero at him, and naturally I want ALL OF YOUR CR GIVE IT TO ME so. Anyway. Firstly, the RP side of things. Admittedly, I didn't actually consider apping any tennis character when I first joined Route - at least for a long while. America was the one I wanted to go with, then I got enabled into the P4 cast... and then I wanted tennis because I will always come back to tennis. But. It was because your Yagyuu is so amazing that in the end I decided on Niou rather than Atobe or Yukimura like I was considering. You play him wonderfully, and even though I'm having to grab back howdoiplayNiou all over again, I'm really glad I made this decision. ♥

I'm also glad that I did faito to be your friend as well though, because you have some of the most interesting thought processes and ideas and interests. Seriously. Some of the things you plurk about I could read all day /chinhands

So yes. HOPEFULLY this wasn't creeperish 8( It wasn't supposed to be.

BAWWWWWWW, I AM HAPPY TO HAVE HIM BACK (though arguably not as happy as Yagyuu is, but that's an entirely different story) and I hope you're having as much fun with it as I am. ♥ I know some of the development Yagyuu's been through can make it a little tricky to play off him at times, no matter how repeatedly I kick him and GOD, YAGYUU, WHY ARE YOU SO DAMN YOU SOMETIMES. But I'm really looking forward to playing off you even more in the future, and developing all the different aspects of their relationship as we do. Presumably through lots of tennis.

Oh man, I know absolutely nothing about Yagyuu and I don't know you OOC at all, but I just want to drop by and say that every thread we've had so far has been an absolute joy. You put so much ... effortless effort in your tags, does that make sense? They come across as well thought out and it shows in your writing (which I really like, by the way) but still looking like the depth of character and language in them comes all naturally to you.
And again, I don't know the character, but Yagyuu's voice comes across as distinct anyway and ICly, I'm still super excited to see where things might go. :)
