Seeing as how it's been about seven months since the last time we did this, it's high time for another...
TEST DRIVE MEME!
Post with the characters you're thinking of apping in to see how they do! Either they've been here a while, are just arriving, or anything you want!

Byakuya Togami | Dangit Roombas
to a crapload of nothing in this worldis standing aloof of the city square, a little purple, gemstone-eyed creature crouched obediently at his side.Sssssaaaaaa? the sibilant creature hisses with a strikingly eerie grin, reaching out with its claws at passerby until a sharp look from its master brings it back to heel.]

Excuse me, Sir?
[...He's mistaken you for a noble.]
no subject
He deigns to glance at the blond, intrigued by the use of "sir" to address him. It's been a while since he received his due respect.]
Yes?
no subject
[Or the son of a noble? Sure, Ramza is trying to hide his own past, but he is still getting used to the fact this world - lots of worlds - don't work like Ivalice. So don't mind the slight smile. Maybe this mans world works like his!]
no subject
I am the heir to the great Togami family. Is it that obvious?
[Stroke his ego, if you please.]
no subject
I have not heard your family name before, no. But you carry that... air that only a noble can, Sir.
[Here comes the bow!]
My name is Ramza. I am not as high as you - just a sellsword, brought into this land like any other.
no subject
He inclines his head in the way one of higher rank returns a bow from their lesser, the prim picture of good breeding.]
Ramza. So you find yourself as mysteriously brought here as myself...

...I am not sure how I missed you here
...honestly, he's relieved to see him, since last time he saw Togami, the guy had been in the process of generally being horribly unlikable and basically painting a target on his forehead like a champion. Things he's been told about the end aside, it's one thing to hear that someone's still alive and something else entirely to actually see them.]
Togami-kun!
[...of course he's going to express this by...you know...yelling at you because excessive amounts of volume is just how we say hello in whatever realitysphere this kid occupies.]
It's good to see you've made it here!
I am a SHSL ninja [1/?]
[2/3]
It's just that you're not usually confronted with your dead classmates treating you like you didn't deface the corpse of a classmate because you saw who really murdered him and you didn't want to be bored with the trial.
It's true, he plays both sides of murder chicken like a fucking pro.]
[3/3]
[if he's dead he must be in peasant hell.]

It's a bit of a long story, Togami-kun...but the most concise explanation is that it's a different world entirely. We don't know how we got here, but there are several of us from Hope's Peak Academy present already; from what we can tell, this world is both real and safe inasmuch as no one seems to be trying to kill us!
no subject
What proof do we have that this place is real, and not an elaborate illusion on the part of the Mastermind? Perhaps the result of drugging our food, for h-their own entertainment.
[Smooth save.]
And does everyone have one of these unseemly companions?
[The Sableye is going to curiously sniff the black boots that Ishimaru is wearing, unsettling gemstone eyes seeming to glance up at the dark-haired boy. But who can be sure.]
no subject
[...well, this is Ishimaru not even bothering to save that; if you don't already know, surely you'll ask, right? There's not much sense in concealing it.]
And yes, everyone starts with at least one here; they seem to be our protection here, so it's best to treat them well!
no subject
Excuse him for trying to preserve the sanctity of the time-space continuum.]
Presenting us with incredibly realistic illusions of our dead classmates, letting us think we're living in safety only to tear that away and drop us back into the school life of mutual killing... It's more slow-building than the rest of her plans, but it could be a means of trying to break our morale before the final trial.
...it won't work, of course, I found most of you insufferable alive, and if nothing else I've learned that my recollection has been more than generous.
[He looks down at the purple creature who is now admiring her reflection in the shine of Ishimaru's boot.]
It reminds me of Fukawa.
[She lifts her head and looks back at him, simpering back to heel.]

Probably for the best.]
Ah... Togami-kun? [He sounds about as tentative as you'd expect him to sound.]
no subject
Good Asahina.Wow, defiler is a bit of a strong word. He fingerpainted with the blood already there, he didn't make any fresh wounds, thank.Togami's eyebrows arch up in surprise when he sees the familiar boy (in girl's clothing).]
Fujisaki.
[This is...a little awkward. Hallmark doesn't exactly make "Sorry I manhandled your corpse for the lulz" cards.]
no subject
But no, ahem. It's a little awkward all around because if there's one person that Chihiro's never been great at talking to, it's Togami. But they can't stand here staring at each other after greetings forever.]
Um-- How are you...?
[He'd ask did you just get here but that's probably likely right.]
no subject
The trial was worth it, though.
Or so he's told himself since.]I'm-- fine.
[He thought he didn't feel any guilt about using Chihiro's body to his own ends. After all, the boy definitely hadn't been using it anymore, and even though the story of Chihiro's secret had been interesting, it had also been moot. After all, Chihiro was dead.
Things changed somewhat when Chihiro was standing right in front of him. He suddenly hoped that Chihiro had no idea what had happened.]
You look... Well.
no subject
Either way, he nods and offers a tentative smile.]
Y-yes... I'm well. This is a pretty peaceful place to be, and there aren't too many things to worry about.
[And they have adorable fighting monsters.]
no subject
He notes the nod and smile, and gives a nod of his own in return.]
Peaceful? I suppose it is when compared to the alternative.
[Speaking of adorable fighting monsters, Byakuya's Sableye is going to come sniff at your shoes, Chihiro.]

[ Did someone order a protagonist? A protagonist who currently happens to have a lot more money than Togami and his measly P3000 starter fund? Naegi approaches the heir and judging by the bright smile plastered on his face he's really happy to see him. ]
no subject
lol no you're right he's poor as hellHEY THERE person whom he knows is not deceased how are you! Togami brightens about as much as it's possible for him to (not much) when he sees Naegi.]
So you are here, as well.
no subject
I am. I take it you've already met the others? [ He wonders how Togami felt if he met Fujisaki. Surely he would feel an inkling of remorse for what he did to the crime scene for his own amusement...? ] Did they explain everything?
no subject
Some of them. I take it Asahina is likely avoiding me, and fortunately I haven't seen Oowada yet.
[So yes, he has met Fujisaki, and he did in fact feel something approximate to the human emotion of remorse.]
Between what they have told me and what I've figured out for myself, I can assume we've all been brought here from different points in our timeline, for reasons unknown, by forces unknown. We're not expected to kill one another here, although we are expected to participate in a different kind of blood sport.
We've also all been given a companion to start with - some of us were more fortunate in this lottery than others.
[How'd you do in the draw, SHSL Good Luck?]
