For that matter, when did she send us to a new place, and why? We've already saved the future... so everything should be fine now, right?

Well... it might be like one of those side trips she sent us on where we'd go and save an Outrealm or something? Now that we've saved the future and become-[there's no way for her to say this without a flourish]-the greatest heroes of our era, it's a perfect time to have us go and save other worlds!

[She's still too srs bznss to get behind Cynthia's great heroes schtick, but... they had saved the world, hadn't they? They deserved to have a bit of pride in that.]

So you think Naga's sending us out as... her heralds or something? That's a great honor! But... we don't really have any idea what we're supposed to do.

[She pauses for a moment, and then perks up (loudly).]

You'd think she'd at least have given us a hint or something.

[She raises an eyebrow as she hears that.]

[Expectant look. Well come on, Cynthia, don't leave her in suspense!]

Well, it's obviously a test of some kind, right? Naga needs to figure out if we're up to the task of going through all these different worlds! So maybe we have to figure out who the evildoers are for ourselves before we can properly start our careers as Cynthia and Nah: Saviors of the Outrealms?

Hmmm... I suppose that makes sense. Being able to determine who the enemy is would be a valuable skill after all. But I think you've skipped over a crucial step there.

Well, uh, I actually thought about that! I've been messing around with the... thingy we got. The Gear thing? Did you get one? Anyway, you can talk to it and pretty much everyone else here will hear it and see it, which is totally awesome! I need to come up with a great way to introduce myself to everyone!

You mean this... [She pulls hers out, looks it over, and after a bit of contemplation decides on the word:] Contraption? It can do that?

[Well, she can't help but be pretty impressed by that.]

Alright, I'll admit, that's pretty neat. So how do we use it?

[She doesn't want to just start pushing buttons randomly after all...]

Yeah! I kind of lucked out on getting it to work the first time, so I think we just need to mess around with it a little!

[...and so Cynthia begins pushing buttons randomly because her duty in life is to be as frustrating to Nah as possible]

Wait- [Too late, now Cynthia has the gear and is pushing so many buttons...

Oh great, she's got it on the radio setting. And has turned the volume up to ridiculous levels. On static.]

Oh dear Naga, OW! [Nah slaps her hands over her ears, wincing in pain.] What did you do?

...yeah, that wasn't it... um, hang on-

[let her fiddle a little more and HEY! there are video posts and audio posts and text posts.]

Oh! There it is! I think you press the little arrows in the square boxes for moving pictures that talk.

[It takes a few moments for her to hesitantly take her hands away from her ringing ears. But eventually she realizes it's over, and lowers them with a sigh of relief.]

That hurt. [Her grumping is set aside, though, when she looks at the gear.] Huh. So we press this arrow here...

[And the post begins to play while Nah stares transfixed.]

Yeah, yeah, sorry... but see? Isn't it great?

[Cynthia has no idea what this witchcraft is but it gets her seal of approval because it's fuckin cool]

I have to admit it is very impressive... there look to be a great deal of messages recorded here, though. It could take a while to find the others.

Yeah... and I'm not sure if all of them would have recorded them yet. I mean, I'm sure if Owain's figured out how to use it he's trying to prepare something really special for his introduction!

True... well, maybe we should make an introduction first, and see if they'll come to us. How do you get this thing to make one...

[She frowns, tilting her head at the machine, really unsure of how to make it work.]

...she will go back to the standard of "press buttons and see if they work."]

Be careful this time.

[No sooner has the admonishment left Nah's lips then a new noise crackles out of the gear... this time, it sounds like a mechanical voice.]

Pokedex activated.

Poke-what?

[As the main menu for the Pokedex feature of the gear, featuring all seventeen types and all letters of the alphabet as chooseable options, Nah just stares at it in confusion and shock.]

What is this? It's definitely not that thing we were looking at earlier.

...huh, it's never done that for me before. Well, there has to be some way to get out of it! Let's just see what this does...

[...so she pushes another button as her Pokedex is coincidentally pointing at Nah's Pokemon... and it brings up a picture of said Pokemon, with its name and some text:]

Its large tusks have a tendency to break, but each time they grow back, they grow in harder and sturdier.

Oh wow! It's like an encyclopedia on these little creatures! There must be so much information here, I could read it for hours-

[She stops herself as she remembers their original plan.]

But it... doesn't really help us find the others, does it?
