Here, ten years have passed for your character in Route. What are they doing? Have they gotten all the badges? Bred a Pokemon with a movelist that would make Arceus itself piss its pixelated pants in fear? Become one of the top Admins of Team Rocket?
Or maybe their original route lost its appeal. Have they started taking a freelance Professor route? Or maybe they're researching the history of either region. Have they resigned themselves to a life stuck in the Pokemon world or are they trying to find a way to get out?
Well... why don't you tell us. Or play it out. What better way to continue your adventure?

Keiko Yukimura | Yu Yu Hakusho
+ She's probably only just recently earned all the Johto Badges but is totally dragging her feet on picking her Battle Theme.
+ She's likely in a committed relationship with Yusuke (Y/N Karen?) if not engage/married. More likely committed though since she'd want pesky things like career and housing taken care of before tying the knot.
+ Settled down in Goldenrod City roughly five years earlier. Partly because it would be a good place in terms of employment options and partly because Yusuke likes the place. She still travels occasionally but she's really more of a put roots down sort of girl.
+ Her Vulpix is a Ninetails (has been for a while I think I haven't figured that out yet). And she's still breeding her pokes, though it's more they were like let's reproduce here Keiko have an egg batch than anything else. She still doesn't understand it and is researching Pokémon breeding/mating in her free time
+ Has a full time job teaching future trainers. She's memorized the Trainer's Handbook as a result and drags her various traveling companions in to give interviews to the students. (Yes she teaches all the lovely schoolboys and girls along the routes feel free to throw tomatoes at her.)
