Blurb: Lazy brilliant mage who would find a way to break physics and sleep for fifty hours a day if only anyone would ever let him, which they never do. Kind of closed off because three years of Johto can't eliminate nearly 20 years of being considered a monster because of the eyes he was born with, but gentle and kind underneath that, and slowly learning that it's worth it to protect what's important rather than just letting the world drift by. Smarter and more observant than he acts.
Plans: Not sure... Mostly he's just doing research with Sion. I don't know what I'm going to do for the fourth wall, but I'm sure I'll come up with something.

Joker has a particular eye for outcasts (having pretty much run his Circus as a sanctuary for them), so that's definitely a thing he could pick up about Ryner? I'd definitely be interested in some tags between them just to see how they mesh.

and the circus thing is kind of actually slightly appropriate considering certain things that are past Ryner's current canon point...
