[A twelve-year-old boy is really not one to stand out in a setting like this; all things considered, he's probably the quintessential example of what a Budding Pokemon Trainer™ is supposed to be (hair neatly combed, blue jeans and a T-shirt, mildly scuffed sneakers, nondescript). Quintessential, that is, save for the fact that his dark eyes are a little too alert for the average twelve-year-old, and his expression is as blank as drywall, even despite the way he's surveying his current surroundings.

Near his feet, a Growlithe is sitting obediently, trying its best to wag its tail even despite the fact that it's currently sitting on it; the boy, however, pays this no mind, as though he's barely even noticed that the Pokemon belongs to him in the first place.]

[Sorry, Rudy, but when your sister makes clothes out of cabbages and scrap metal? Nondescript catches your eye.

Also the fact that there were monsters around here, don't you know.]

[He turns smoothly, never changing expression even when the girl (?) in question approaches, and regards her with cool impassivity.]

[What's a better way to spend a nice, sunny day like this than training by the Lake of Rage? That Gyarados didn't stand a chance, and it falls back into the water with a loud splash after the final strike of a... Skitty.

Near the scene stands a young girl, whose entire being, from cutesy clothes to heart-shaped pupils, pretty much screams MAHOU SHOUJO. She jumps in excitement as her Pokémon emerges vicious, making a peace sign as she lands.]

That's right! No one messes with the great Luna and gets away with it! That old fart in the last gym should know better by now, too!

[The Skitty squeaks happily in agreement, but the girl's shoulders suddenly slump a bit, and she speaks in a much more quiet voice, lacking the energy from a moment ago.]

That's all fine, but... weren't we supposed to become Breeders? We haven't bred a single egg yet...

[Just as she says that, she straightens back up, putting her hands on her hips.]

Stop being such a wimp, Sena! Breeding is for pussies! We're not gonna waste our time on something gross like that. Luna is gonna be the very best, like no one ever was!

[Sena simply lets out a resigned sigh. Why does he even try...?]

[While Azalea Town is small and quiet, Kyle finds himself growing rather fond of it. The hustle and bustle of the bigger cities can be exciting, but the stark contrast in technological differences between Marlon and this world is still a lot to handle.

And apparently its name is Emolga?

He left Cherrygrove a little bit ago and still hasn't quite found his way to Violet. He'll make it there. Eventually. ]

[Riku would recognize that messy blond hair anywhere, and it's for that reason that he bolts over, with his Charizard trailing close behind. Sheesh, what's got his trainer in such a rush?

There's a smile on his face, and he doesn't stop to think that, oh, maybe he's got the wrong guy. Leave it to Riku to be a bit impulsive.]

[...He stops, smile faltering once he realizes that, wait. Ven never wore a black coat. So was it Roxas?

He's just gonna stand here and examine Roxas, more than a bit embarrassed now.]

[ Roxas hears someone's voice and turns his head. He doesn't recognize the person and yet he feels like he's... seen this person before? But he can't make heads of tails of it.

And how is this 'Ven' person? Did this guy mistake him for whoever that was?

Meanwhile Emolga is just tugging on his cloak basically motioning to Roxas that while this guy is even there to ask where they should go because it would rather not sleep outside tonight. But Roxas ignores it and just sort of... stares. ]

[Riku waves a hand in front of his face, just to make sure he's not, you know, some kind of zombie.

Flare, in the mean time, snorts and watches the two with a faint smirk. You people are dorks.]

[ Roxas jumped at little at the sudden hand movement in front of his face. Oops he was staring wasn't he uuuh. But hey he's not a zombie ~~anymore~~. ]

Sorry! [ uh .. ] Do you know how to get to the next town?

[ He rubs the back of his head. Emolga just sighs. At least he's finally asking. ]

I know how to get to every town.

[He shrugs, gesturing towards his Charizard.]

But if you keep up this pace, you won't hit Violet for another week. Flying, though... it could shave off a few days.

[ Roxas looks over a Charizard. He's... bigger than his Pokemon that's for sure. But if this person knows how to get to every town then he can help right? ]

Then could you point us in the right direction-- [ a look from Emolga ] --Or help us get there faster?

Long as you don't get airsick.

[Flare snorts before crouching down. Go ahead, Roxas. He won't bite!]

Oh, and just a heads-up: it's still a few hours to Violet even from the air.

[ He goes over to Charizard and slowly gets on making sure he doesn't do so in some way that is wrong. Emolga flies over and settles himself on Roxas lap once he positioned himself. ]

That should be all right. [ Better than Emolga complaining, really ]

[Once Roxas is safely seated, Flare smirks and shoots a glance at his trainer.]

All right, all right. And you're usually the one who thinks I'm impatient.

[Well, better to take off ASAP, anyway, so before long, Riku traipses up to his big ol' dragon and hops on behind Roxas.]

Ready for liftoff?

[ Roxas nods his head. ]

I'm ready. Emolga?

[ Emolga just huffs. Of course it's ready geez can they just go already ]

[Well, that's all the confirmation Flare needs. With everyone at the ready, he grunts, crouches down low, and then rockets towards the sky.

Better hang on tight, kids!]

[ There's a 'woaaaaah' coming from Roxas as they rocket into the air. He's never experienced something like this before!

Meanwhile Emolga is just clinging on for his life. He glides for a reason!! ]

[When Riku sees Emolga cling, he bursts into laughter. Having flown on Flare for years now, he's more than accustomed to the ups and downs of flight.]

Funny. You'd think a flying squirrel'd have no trouble with this.

[ WOW EXCUSE YOU RIKU Emolga is just going to shoot you a look. Meanwhile Roxas chuckles at his Pokemon. ]

I don't think he's ever been above the trees.

[ Shooting you a look now Roxas how dare you betray him ]

What, is he scared of heights?

[Sorry, Emolga, but you've just become the latest victim of Riku's teasing. He says this all with a huge grin on his face.]
