What you're looking for: Positive CR, negative CR, Legendary talk, Pokescience nerding, complaining about things, hilarious shenanigans... I... am not sure how it would happen but I'd actually be up for shiptease at this point on the basis that it'd be funny. Also traveling companions since he's going solo right now and I'd at least to have someone in the general vicinity when I canon update him (which will be when he gets to Blackthorn in a century or so, uh).

Location: Ecruteak City, where he'll probably be for the rest of the winter
Blurb: Smug elitist aristocratic jerk mage prodigy who makes really dumb faces and has never faced difficulty in life before showing up in Johto, where he cannot use his fancy mage powers and is starting to have weird existential crises about it, along with being butthurt. Was a professor of sorts in his home world, so he's interested in figuring out how this place works (because it's challenging and... fun...). He's capable of coming off alright, but he still has some pretty elitist shithead views that he hasn't quite gotten rid of even after being stuck in Johto for a year.
Plans: The usual, really! Again, he'll be in Ecruteak until the end of March or so, so any in-person stuff can be arranged there, especially since he's interesting in checking out all the sights. Shit, let's be tourists.

So this kid will be in Ecruteak around Christmas and he's been approved to receive a magical artifact for his item drop. A fully-functional artifact. It generates mana! It can transform into a creature to fight for you! ...Except that since Domri hasn't regained his spellcasting ability he can't use the mana to cast spells. And it doesn't generate enough mana to turn it into a creature. So really all it does it sit and be magical.

Would Kayneth be interested in examining it/being jealous about Domri getting it/snickering at Domri's frustration that it's totally useless?

Oh, definitely! ...he will probably be doing all of the above, really, but if he sees Domri messing around with it he'll inquire (...against his better judgement, yes, but he will!)
