[If Ed actually decides to tear himself away from the books and look up, he'll see a young girl with long hair and... heart-shaped pupils, yes. The bell on her neck is too big to be reasonably considered an accessory, and as if to match that, there's a Chingling sitting on top of her head. She's watching him with a somehow uncertain expression and, after a brief moment of hesitation, she points to the pile of the books next to him.]

Would you mind if I borrowed some of these? They look pretty interesting...

[Well that's quite a different way of dressing up... and those eyes certainly aren't normal. Though since Ed has seen a lot of different things and gotten used to weird clothes and such, he just nods casually at the question.]

Go ahead. I'm done with that pile.

[It's nice to know that there are people who're interested in reading and not only about Pokémon.]

[The girl smiles gleefully at the response, clapping her hands together.]

[She bows slightly, then picks a few books from the pile and settles herself on the other end of the table. She's only halfway through the first page of the first volume when all of sudden she makes a face and hits the book with her forehead.]

Booo~oring! Ugh, why does Luna have to read this? Don't they have any comic books here?
