I dunno! Maybe? After everything we've faced so far, I wouldn't be surprised if we did encounter a witch.

...Okay, so let's say we were kidnapped by a witch. The other people here haven't said anything about witches...and a lot of them aren't supposed to be here, either.

Isn't that weird?

It could be a conspiracy! They could be lying to us. Or...maybe they just don't know she's a witch. I mean, no one really thinks witches - or any other supernatural beings, for that matter - even exist! Or...maybe the way everyone gets here is different, and we're the only ones who just so happened to get kidnapped by a witch.

[LOOK HE HAS TO KNOW. This is getting to be a bit of a stretch, though.]

I talked to some people who told me that this place does have people here from other worlds, so that right there tells us this definitely isn't Oregon.

[We've come full circle in this conversation.]

Well, yeah, I could've told you that. I already said this probably wasn't America, Dipper!

Well, okay- so we're not in Oregon! We're not in America, maybe we're not even on Earth. We're here, and we need to find a way to get back home without the journal, somehow.

How do you propose we do that? I mean, Roasty can blow fire, and I'm not even sure what your deer can do...

[Maybe they can signal for help by starting a bonfire...]

I...don't really know either.

[Dipper frowns, looking down at the Deerling, who just huffs indignantly.]

We can do it without them though, if we have to. We just need to have a plan.

[kittenfists]

Well...

[She turns to face the direction that New Bark was in, frowning slightly.]

We can go back that way and look around for clues, but...from what you've said so far, I don't think it'll be much help. Orrrrr...we could go to Cherrygrove and see if we can find anything there!

[Like...cherries.]

We should probably keep heading on from New Bark. I spent a while there, and I don't think there will be anything else there to help us out.

Then it's settled! That-a-way!

[Aaaand marching down the route towards Cherrygrove we go, apparently. The little pig follows close behind, filled with the same enthusiasm that his trainer has.]

[Dipper exchanges a glance with his Deerling before following with his hands in his pockets.

Well...this ought to be an adventure.]

Okay, so...you don't remember doing anything to bring us here. I don't remember doing anything to bring us here... The witch possibility still exists, but...maybe something happened on one of our last - [FINGER WIGGLE.] - mythical adventures to bring us here.

[Dipper's a bit tempted to let out the goat that random old man gave him, but Mabel doesn't have anything to ride on, and he's not sure if they'd both fit on one goat...]

Whatever happened, it must've wiped our memory too.

[...Probably not, but it would be hilarious to see.]

Okay, the only thing I'm getting here is...aliens! Aliens can wipe minds, right? It's gotta be them.

Aliens?

[He knows he's paranoid, but come on now.]

[She's just tossing ideas out there...]

Well, what else could it have been? Other than, you know, Bill. ...But if he wanted to send us somewhere, I'm pretty sure he wouldn't have sent us here. Maybe someplace more...creepy and dangerous?

Maybe, maybe not. He's tricky. ...might be trying to go with something more subtle.

[Yeah, and maybe the sky is gonna fall and Mabel's pig is going to start flying.]

Either way, this place doesn't seem... too dangerous...

[Dipper, what could Bill possibly gain from throwing you two in Johto.]

See? And I mean, these things are pretty cute, too! If they wanted to attack us or something, they would've done so already.

[inb4 they encounter a wild Pokémon.]

[He looks down at the Deerling, who bleats softly and pushes her nose into Dipper's hand.]
