Ahh, thank you! The funny thing about Blake is there's just enough there to make it a ton of fun to try to fill in the blanks. Like, first you think, "Haha, why the hell would somebody act that way?" Then you think, "Well, hell, why would somebody act that way?" Especially how the story shakes out, there's tons of grist for a hard-fought redemption story, and I am a huge sucker for those. I am so glad that somebody's reading along with his grump and his grudging efforts to be a better person (while still not quite able to handle that he was ever a bad one.)

AS FOR YOU AND THE IDIOT BRIGADE. Have I told you how much I love them? It's great to bounce a outwardly, aggressively simplistic guy like Blake against people with, say, strange but actually thought-out worldviews. Especially Ishimaru, because you're amazing at bringing out that combination of naivete and rigidness mixed with an optimism, even after all he's been through. And he is determined to get the mad bomber.

ANYWAY YEAH. KEEP ON KEEPING ON AND LET"S HAVE OUR IDIOTS HAVE LUNCH.

Caddy, I swear to god and I mean this completely unironically and with all due sincerity: you are everything that is beautiful with this world.

I have to echo Dal that you have done so much with this random minor antagonist from a David Cage game that I had roughly zero feelings about the first time I watched the let's play of Heavy Rain. In the beginning I was admittedly sort of like "Huh, that's interesting, somebody's apping that guy", and now I'm here like "OH MY GOD BLAKE'S DOING SOMETHING GO BLAKE GO DON'T EVER STOP". I am a one-man cheering section for this bastard and I have no idea when the hell that happened, but if he keeps asking for the ability to buff people with rage or smacking around snowflakes with sharks like a whirling dervish of insect destruction, I'm going to be cheering myself hoarse for a long time.

I love how many of my characters have such different relationships with him, but they're all fun and magical and I think you do a great job of giving him a believable development arc while still keeping him true to the crusty bastard he was in canon and always should be; he backslides and messes up and keeps on digging and it's like the Pixar Rules say — you admire a character more for trying than for their successes.

You and Blake have both won so much admiration from me and you should never stop ever, period.

Dude if somebody looks at an app for Blake, "Why that guy?" is the best possible response.

I am so happy I stumbled on this game just from Ri's recommendation. I just thought, "Oh, neat, a Pokemon game." ...Okay, and honestly, a big part of the decision was "Oh my god that pink bulldog and Blake have the exact same face." I love that there's room to do serious character development stuff and things like the nightmare castle and also times when there's bees and sharks and when I ask "can I hit the bees with the sharks?" the answer is "yes, and exactly this hard."

I'd never heard that Pixar Rule before. I like it a lot.

AND DUDE I have to say how I love that your posts always have something to tug out an interesting reaction and make me consider things about the character and what he'd think that I never would have thought about before. (Though I think my favorite is Schuldig innocently and sweetly asking everybody what they do to keep from missing their loved ones so much, just cause it's such a pure beautiful act of asshole.)

Long story short, I am so damn glad that I ended up in a game like this and I love everybody in this bar.

First things first. Your RPing: hella. I still don't know much about Heavy Rain, but you have absolutely made me fall in love with Blake in all of his grumpy glory. He's been so much fun to bounce both my characters off of because he somehow manages to be the antithesis of both of them??? This culture clash he and Valmont have going on is amazing, what the hell. More Blake CR in my life forever please.

Second thing: you're also really great and fun OOC??? How do you even do it. All your posts about little Japanese things give me life. And you're just super nice and y??es???? More Caddy CR in my life forever please. ♥

That is hilarious, because out of people who've played it, the general consensus is everybody hates Blake, since his role is being a big crazy violet asshole who does nothing but get in the player character's way. So I absolutely love when people actually like the jerk.

Especially when it's a sunny little girl bouncing off him and refuses to be brought down. It's hard to be cynical forever in the face of that, but he will try! I love playing him off Mimi because she's a sweet little girl but at the same time is somebody with the spine to stand up to his crap, which is a hell of a combination.

Aww, you're awesome OOC too, and your drawings are cute as hell!
