Chie Hori | Tokyo Ghoul
Which seems to be practically everything. When she's not wandering around in the tall grass or climbing trees to take approximately a million pictures of wild Pokémon, she's taking pictures of completely mundane shit like a crack in the sidewalk or somebody's lawn. Hell, she's going to be take pictures of you if you need a reason to approach her. ]
Hmmm, hmm. What do you think of this picture, Pikachu?
[ ...The electric rodent sitting on her shoulder is an Emolga, by the way. ]
no subject
You know, several people have crossed his mind as those who would be useful to him here; Hori is almost always at the top of his list, as that goes. She's also consistently been at the top of his list of those least likely to show up here, because really, the last time he implicitly asked this place for useful people, he got Banjou.
But it seems that today fate has finally smiled upon Shuu Tsukiyama, and he's just going to be leaning up against a nearby tree while she shows her Pikachu (BECAUSE ALL THE ELECTRIC RODENTS AROUND HERE ARE PIKACHU, RIGHT) her bounty, and he's more than content to watch from a distance until he sees fit to try to catch her attention.]
If you'd left me to myself any longer, I'd have to start worrying that you didn't like me anymore.
[His tone is light, a little cloying but more than slightly facetious; hello there, you.]

shirou emiya | fate/stay night
Basically, any sort of menial task? Emiya Shirou's doing it.
In fact, if you are in his line of sight and are in dire need of any assistance, he's here. ]
Hey. Do you need any help with that?
tentative or not, I can still play with you briefly x(
Ah, just the person I was seeking out for this task. [ Bringing her hands together in a carefree manner, she's definitely a bit more spirited here than she ever was in Fuyuki City. ]
I have been cuddling with these fair creatures for hours now, but they are relentless in their need for attention. Perhaps you could take over for a while so that I could tend to the others?
no subject
[ The definition of 'relaxing' is definitely not a foreign term to Shirou, but it's something that he doesn't do often, especially since his priorities are somewhat skewed thanks to being sent to another world.
But he still has his dream of becoming a superhero, so it's only obvious that he wishes to help as many people as he can. Saber included. And it's true; he can definitely notice that change in Saber. At the very least, it's not a bad change. ]
... Yeah, I don't mind. You can count on me. [ He gives her a thumbs up in reassurance, but unfortunately for her, he's probably pretty darn fucked, not having dealt with electric types before. ]

[Guess who's back to his job at the flower shop, carrying a box loaded with bouquets of roses.]]
Nah, think I got this one. But if you wanna grab that box to your left there- [Lancer tilted his head in the direction of a case full of carnations] -it'd make my life a little easier.
no subject
[ He gestures quickly before actually doing the heavy lifting. It's not that heavy, though it does take a little more effort to carry it. ]
Where do you want me to put it?
no subject
She turns around, staring eye-bogglingly at her "older" brother, jaw dropped, then her expression transforms into childlike glee and she flings herself at him.]
Shirou!
no subject
[ He's definitely taken aback as he finds himself taking one step back; his face full of uncertainty at first before he manages a kind smile befitting of an older brother. ]
It's good to see you again. [ Shirou's pretty sure that it's a good thing, considering the expression she's wearing. She seems rather pleased, and that makes him just as happy. ] You didn't actually happen to need my help with anything, did you?
[ He asks again just in case. He's been away for far too long, so he wants to help as much as he can now. ]

Saburouta Bandou | [K]
AH COME ON!! DAMNIT THAT WAS RIGHT ANSWER!!
[ The Duskull by his side is mimicking him as he pounds angrily on the wall. Why's this guy wanna get into the Ruins so badly anyway? ]
no subject
Guess not.
[Clover didn't decide to head to the Ruins of Alph so much as she just kind of ended up here. That's what aimless wandering'll get you. She stands in the doorway with an eyebrow raised. Standing behind her legs, her Snubbull whines and whimpers, apparently by all the angry noise that's attracted her trainer's curiosity.]
What is this, one of those sliding puzzles? [She comes over to take a look. After a moment of distressed woofing, Snubbull decides to follow.]

Tsk
[ Bandou kicks the wall, to which his Duskull flips around in the air before headbutting it. ]

Oh. Yeah I knew that. And I was just about to solve the thing, too! Good thing you came along when you did!

But while he's trying his best to get inside the ruins, Anna is just over here, seated on a rock, sipping from a strawberry juice packet while her gothita helpfully stares in his direction too.
Slurp. And she's out of juice. ]
Anna! akjsdgalskg all the flailing
[ Ok, kicking the wall didn't work either so Bandou just goes and plops down on the ground next to Anna, aggravated and sulky. ]
Damnit...
[ Suddenly, an idea! Bandou perks up and grins at Anna. ]
Hey Anna! You and your Gothita are psychic, right? You could totally help me out with this!
hi San-chan...!!
hi Anna-chan~!
Clover Field | 999
So anyone passing through the middle of the cave is likely to find Clover, sitting with her back against a rock and grumbling. In one hand she has a flashlight pointed at the map she has propped up against her backpack in front of her. In the other, she has a granola bar, and she keeps taking big bites of it and chewing on it with fierce, angry conviction, like she's taking out her frustration on the snack. Yeah, that'll help; good job, Clover.
Her Snubbull is curled up into a ball next to her, whining. The sound of her whining echoing against the cave only distresses her further, so she whines some more.]
Sshhh, Lady, shhhhh. Yeah, I know, being lost sucks. Ugh, this thing is useless! [Spoilers: the map is sideways and also of Mt. Mortar.]
Re: Clover Field | 999
[Her eyes narrow, and her face slackens into a grandmotherly smile.]
Well, dearie.
[She drops to one knee, elbowing Gastly aside, and peers at the map.]
Let's see if we can give you a little help with that, mm?
no subject
Oh, sure... [She pulls Lady, whose attempt to scowl at the Gastly is ruined by the way she shakes, into her lap, then passes the woman her map. With the flashlight turned towards her, Clover can see how disheveled she is. It makes her frown, concerned.] Did you get lost, too?

Eliot Spencer | Leverage
The same could not be said for the Mankey following him.]
Oh for- I told you to stay in the ball, didn't I? Didn't I?
[The Mankey keeps shivering and is clearly not too happy about what he's just been through, but is trying to keep up a brave face. Yeah, he's clearly trying to look impressive, but a grifter this 'mon is not.]
Damn it, next time you're staying in there whether you want to or not!
[And then it dawns on Eliot exactly what he's doing. Annoyed, he closes his eyes and tries to resist the urge to facepalm. What is his life.]
...And I'm arguing with a monkey.
Shoulda just let you get frostbite.
no subject
And, occasionally, there are some things that are universal no matter what world you're in, and one of those things is:
No matter where you are, you may in fact be in danger of Parker popping up like a ninja behind you.]
That's actually a Man-key. Not monkey. I mean it's a monkey too but they call it a Mankey.
[...]
Hi, Eliot.
[DAMMIT PARKER YOU NEED TO WARN PEOPLE BEFORE YOU DO THINGS LIKE THAT.]
no subject
Wh- Damn it, Parker! [Yeah, was he gonna respond any other way, really?] Don't do that! It's not- [And now he turns his attention to the Mankey, who's currently laughing while still shivering. Eliot gives him a Look with a capital L.] It's not funny.
[No, it kind of is, Eliot.]

Simon Henriksson | Cry of Fear
[Well, this was new.]
[He was a fan of video games sure, but Pokémon? Really?]
[In a bright white flash the capsule opens and releseas a small, child-like shape on the ground and it has Simon jumping up on his feet, scrambling for the switchblade in his pocket.]
[It takes him a moment to calm down, keeping his knife steadily pointed at the little Ralts standing a few feet away. It's making half-hearted attempts to walk closer to him, but each time he jumps back, keeping the distance between them.]
No. Go away. Don't touch me. I'm not supposed to talk to you. Or touch you. Go away, shoo.
(ooc: what do you mean late, never late)
no subject
[Throwing snowballs for her Sentret to chase, Molly's laughing and praising him while her Natu chirps nearby, too little to use her wings to fly and really join in the game. But that stuff doesn't matter so long as everyone is having fun.]
[Which she is, until the door opens to that house she doesn't like at all. She looks up in time to see someone get out of there and to see him release his starter, but then he starts acting weird, so she beckons her Sentret and picks up her bird and goes closer to see what's going on and if he needs help.]
[She'd needed a lot of help, when she first got there.]
[The glint of the knife makes her freeze completely though, and there's a gasp and something like a whimper when she hugs her bird closer and takes a step back.]
no subject
[He seems oblivious to the people around him - none of them has taken any interest in him yet either. That is, until the worrying whimper nearby has him turn his head alarmingly fast, whipping his knife-wielding arm over to that direction. Nice to know his reflexes are still in working condition.]
Who are you? [He's all tense muscles and shifty-eyes, keeping his attention on both the kid and the pokémon.]
