Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Meme

Suprise! Your character has mysteriously become a Pokemon and been transported to a whole new world! A world where there isn't a single human to be seen. So what to do now? If you don't want to sleep in the woods, maybe you ought to sign up at the Wigglytuff Rescue Guild and become an explorer. Find a partner and go on missions, find treasure, get lost in dungeons, or rescue the Pokemon who already got lost in the dungeons. Hang out in the guild and raid the kitchens or dodge work. Or hey, ditch the exploring gig completely and go do something else. YOU'VE GOT THE POWER.

_{[A loooong neck appears around the doorway of the common room. The fire pokemon arches a brow at that commotion over by the assignment board. Oh, this again...]}

_{[Well, as fast as weasel-things can be, her short legs aren't much of a match for his lanky ones. He successfully snatches her up, although it's a good thing he's a Fire type because flames pretty much immediately blossom around his snout as the spots between her ears ignite.]}

<sub>[Jack winces and trots along with the angry little fire weasel in his teeth. He trots all the way out of the lobby and all the way down the long tunnel to the identification pit.]

[Envy was just heading to the board for his own assignment when he overhears. He grimaces; guest ID sounds like the worst job possible. He sidles on over to her.]

You know, technically we're the rookies.

[He pauses, and smirks.]

So why should you be in charge of such an important job as keeping the guild secure? What if you made a mistake and mistook one of our teammates for some dastardly villain? It would be a much better idea for a rookie to go out on an exploration mission instead.

[Desperation has sent the scruffy Leafeon into attempting to just BUILD his own camera because he sure as heck can't find one in town. He can't scrapbook leaves forever okay!]

[He's also been coaxed onto real live missions! HENRY TO THE RESCUE. PROBABLY!]</sub>

[Envy walks over to him, holding a mission assignment note in his claws. After all, he can't skip out on work every day, they'd kick him out. And the woods are not a place Envy wants to sleep.]

They haven't assigned you something yet today, right?

[...and even if they have, Envy's going to try to get Henry to come with him instead anyway.]

_{[Henry looks up from trying to force some shards of glass into a somewhat impressive cube he's made out of twigs. It's totally a camera.]}

Oh, hey, man....no. I haven't heard about it if they have. What's that?

_{[He notices the paper and his huge ears swivel backwards a little in apprehension.]}

[Envy grins, trying to use his most convincing, reassuring voice. Nothing to be apprehensive about, nothing at all!]

It's my assignment for today, just going to find some Poliwag that got lost in Apple Woods. But everyone else is already set up with a partner today. But if you don't have a mission, maybe you could come along?

_{[He looks down at his little 'camera' before putting it aside and standing up. He was supposed to be getting out more so this was going to have to do!]}

Apple Woods...that doesn't sound so bad.

[He really is feeling pretty confident that it will be easy. He turns to start heading for the road out of town, looking over his shoulder at Henry. He's clearly glad that Henry decided to come along.]

So let's go, I've got the bag already. We might even find something for your camera while we're out there.

_{[Henry follows in Envy's shadow, keeping in step more easily than he had back when they had first arrived. Four legs had taken some getting used to!]}

[Mission assignment? What mission assignment? Instead of doing what he's supposed to do, Envy's lurking in the tunnels of the Guild, practicing his illusions on whatever unsuspecting passersby are still inside today. He's been getting better at it, too!]

[Maybe you'll see a screeching wall of Zubats bearing down on you, or you'll turn around to see a Haunter's face cackling right by your shoulder. He's still not perfect at it though, he can't quite hide himself; so if you've got good eyes you might also see a snickering Zoroark hiding behind a corner, or a stack of boxes if you're near the kitchens.]



[At least, if it's not him jumping out disguised as something scary in the first place.]

[Up at the next T-junction of the hall, she'll see a dark, indistinguishable shape zoom past, accompanied by an oddly distant cackle. Envy's hiding around that corner, out of sight for now. He doesn't know it's her yet, he just heard somebody coming. Not that that would have stopped him. Sorry Heather, friends are not exempt from being prank targets.]

[Right up until a HUGE, SCREECHING AERODACTYL comes flying out of the darkness at Heather. It's just an illusion, so it'll pass right through her when it reaches her, but now she'll probably be able to hear Envy cracking up in the shadows.]
