[He nods slowly in agreement, putting the Gear back in his pocket as his Deerling steps over to sniff Roasty curiously.]

No kidding. I don't even remember...doing anything that could have sent us to some....some other place. Some other world even, maybe.

This can't be anywhere we know, at least.

[kittenfists]

[The pig looks up at Deerling and squeals, trotting around the Pokémon's feet before coming back around to face her. It's definitely a lot more active and playful than Waddles is, and while Mabel's love for her pet pig will never dwindle, it's a refreshing change of pace. Mabel shrugs slightly, considering any possibilities that might have caused them to come here.]

It has to be another world. I mean, we already know that this isn't Gravity Falls, and it's not back home either. ...I'm not even sure if we're in America anymore, Dipper.

[pinevestigator]

Well it's not overseas, either. To tell you the truth, I don't recognize any of the places on this map. I mean, New Bark? Cherrygrove...?

[He shook his head, folding his arms.]

So the question is....how did we get here?

[kittenfists]

...Pffft, Cherrygrove. Hey, do you think there are actually cherries there?

[Because that is clearly the point here, right?]

[...MABEL.]

Mabel, this is serious! Your pig can breathe fire!

[kittenfists]

[You didn't answer her question...]

Okay, okay, okay... Gotcha. I'm seeeerious now. ...Maybe we got kidnapped while we were sleeping...

[She suddenly snaps her fingers and gasps.] Maybe that woman kidnapped us! ...Maybe that's why she was calling herself our mom - because she wanted a set of cute twins! She wanted us to be her children, Dipper!

[Mabel, what...what are you even talking about.]

[pinevestigator]

Why would she have let us...leave, then? ..Actually, she was telling me to leave. Like- "hurry and go start your journey". Something like that.

[If she wanted twins, she wouldn't be kicking out the kids she kidnapped, would she?]

[kittenfists]

Maybe...she thought it was time for us to leave the nest... You know, spread our wings and fly! Live our lives! Broaden our horizons! ...And all that jazz.

[Mabel, please stop while you still have the chance.]

At twelve?

[As much as he wants to ~be a man~, he's not sure if he's ready to just strike out on his own, either.]

[kittenfists]

...Well, we're pretty close to thirteen.

[Almost technically a teen.]

So...maybe?

[pinevestigator]

Maybe. ...but that still doesn't explain how she was able to kidnap us and get us to some whole other world, either.

...Maybe she's a witch.

[pinevestigator]

From Gravity Falls?

[Dipper, please stop asking questions; she's running out of possible answers.]

I dunno! Maybe? After everything we've faced so far, I wouldn't be surprised if we did encounter a witch.

[pinevestigator]

...Okay, so let's say we were kidnapped by a witch. The other people here haven't said anything about witches...and a lot of them aren't supposed to be here, either.

Isn't that weird?

[kittenfists]

[...Dipper, what did I just say.]

It could be a conspiracy! They could be lying to us. Or...maybe they just don't know she's a witch. I mean, no one really thinks witches - or any other supernatural beings, for that matter - even exist! Or...maybe the way everyone gets here is different, and we're the only ones who just so happened to get kidnapped by a witch.

[pinevestigator]

[LOOK HE HAS TO KNOW. This is getting to be a bit of a stretch, though.]

I talked to some people who told me that this place does have people here from other worlds, so that right there tells us this definitely isn't Oregon.

[kittenfists]

[We've come full circle in this conversation.]

Well, yeah, I could've told you that. I already said this probably wasn't America, Dipper!

[pinevestigator]

[/internal screaming]

Well, okay- so we're not in Oregon! We're not in America, maybe we're not even on Earth. We're here, and we need to find a way to get back home without the journal, somehow.

[kittenfists]

How do you propose we do that? I mean, Roasty can blow fire, and I'm not even sure what your deer can do...

[Maybe they can signal for help by starting a bonfire...]

[pinevestigator]

I...don't really know either.

[Dipper frowns, looking down at the Deerling, who just huffs indignantly.]

We can do it without them though, if we have to. We just need to have a plan.

[kittenfists]

Well...

[She turns to face the direction that New Bark was in, frowning slightly.]

We can go back that way and look around for clues, but...from what you've said so far, I don't think it'll be much help. Orrrrr...we could go to Cherrygrove and see if we can find anything there!

[Like...cherries.]

[pinevestigator]

[Mabel...]

We should probably keep heading on from New Bark. I spent a while there, and I don't think there will be anything else there to help us out.

[kittenfists]

Then it's settled! That-a-way!

[Aaaand marching down the route towards Cherrygrove we go, apparently. The little pig follows close behind, filled with the same enthusiasm that his trainer has.]

[Dipper exchanges a glance with his Deerling before following with his hands in his pockets.

Well...this ought to be an adventure.]
