I don't have a whole lot of time before I have to leave for work, but I'll try and make this quick.

This game was my first foray into many things. A large structured RP, a large structured FANDOM RP, and also more or less the LJ RP scene in general (I'd tried it once or twice beforehand, but never in any lasting capacity). I was MORE OR LESS COMPLETELY TERRIFIED.

Fortunately, my fears were proven to be ALL FOR NAUGHT.

This game has seen so much over the past two years. Hell, it's hard to believe it's even EXISTED for two years.

I consider myself truly blessed to have been here from the very beginning (give or take a week) and been able to see all the good times, all the bad times, and everything in between. There's been players who came into this game already rocking like Adrian Brodey exploding out of the sun with a guitar, and there's been players who started out here and grew up with the game, learning and flourishing as they went. There's been people who've stuck around through thick and thin, and people who were only here a little while.

As both a player and a mod, I can say with utmost honesty that it takes ALL those people to make this game shine and each and every one of you have, in your own way.

OR MAYBE I'M JUST SENTIMENTAL AS FUCK, I DON'T KNOW.

But Route, you are my forever game, and I consider it an unbelievable honor every time I get so much as a tag from any of you.

Now please feel free to join me in some oversensitive crying as we listen to some nostalgic music.

Because even if some of you come and go, I'll always remember each and every one of you in some way.

Mei, not only are you an insanely hard worker, you dedicate so much of your time to us (>_> you should sleep more, serious) and you're ALWAYS volunteering to take on extra work or do things to help around the house like coding and graphics. You pretty much single-handedly make everything you touch look like a million bucks, you're so incredibly talented.

So, you're probably thinking WOW ARA YOU'RE SO LUCKY TO WORK WITH THIS BOSS BITCH but I saw nay, wait! Mei's not JUST super competent, she's also REALLY NICE! You're sweet, always rational and poised, always ready to offer a word of advice or to stay calm in tough situations.

I only joined recently, but I do like this place a lot so far! It's an interesting game with a concept I love more than anything; I seriously hope I can get to know everyone here a little more eventually. Thank you all so much for making this so fun so far!

I've never mentioned this to anyone, but Route is what actually kept me RPing and basically on the internet as a whole. I started LJRPing in March 2010,and I'd made a few mistakes in those early months after an emotional upheaval, so I felt kind of useless as an RPer and a writer and figured it would be better to just cut my losses and scram. But then I picked up Lightning and was enabled and within a week, I was playing and regaining my self-confidence in spades. It's really thanks to Route that I'm actually who I am now, though that probably sounds really really sappy and cliche to you guys. We've all been through a lot, sure; drops and apps and bumps and bruises and soaring emotional highs, but it's been amazing and I'm so grateful to be a part of this.

So, what I'm trying to say through my half-asleep brain is: thank you. Thank you to Sunny and Okami for first coming up with the idea even if it wasn't meant to get this freakin' big, thank you to all the mods and techies and aids who have kept this game afloat as long as it's been, and thank you to all the players, modly ones included, for making the game the most welcoming one I've ever had the honor of being in. This place is my RP home, and it's always going to be.

AND OF COURSE: HAPPY SECOND BIRTHDAY TO ROUTE! Here's to a bunch more years of happy funtiems, everyone!

I no longer play the character I apped during the first app cycle of the game, but I fondly remember the beginning and how excited everyone was for the game to open when we chilled in the AIM chat. I also remember how equally excited we were when the first anniversary rolled around. The excitement still hasn't wavered another year later.

I was in a few games before Route, but there's no doubt that Route will always be my "home" game. Route's the first game I've spent this long in, that has to be a sign.

Thanks for all the fun times, Route. Thanks to the mods, current players, and players past. Here's to another year of Pokemon madness!

This was the first game I ever joined, and I'm so glad that I did because it's amazing. I've gotten so much wonderful CR and good memories and new friends. It's hard to believe I've been here for around a year and a half, and hopefully I'll continue to be here much longer. So HAPPY ANNIVERSARY ROUTE, ilu all <3

Yeah, that was me, putting in a reserve at midnight because god dammit I had a fantasy of Roxas in a pokemon universe and the opportunity had just opened up. Turns out it was worth it.

Route has officially become the game I've spent the longest time at. 2 years is a long time and it's been a fun ride.

There's a lot I could say, but I think I covered it all in my first anniversary post that's hidden somewhere in Roxas's archives. Plus I'm at work so I'm gonna keep this short.

Bottom line is, the concept of characters going on pokemon journeys has always been a fascinating one to me for some reason. I've had dreams of writing fanfic for that express purpose but when the opportunity arose to RP it I took it. Thank you all for playing with me, and Roxas and Barney. Thank you for being such an awesome game Route. I am glad for all the fun times and great people I've had a chance to meet and play with and talk to.

I don't have enough free time to put how much I love this game and everyone in here into words, so I'll make it quick:

Let me start by telling you Route is, without a doubt, the best and most enjoyable game I've ever played at, and believe me when I say there's been some of them! And no, not just because the rest of them didn't have Pokémon -- sure, we all know Pokémon makes everything ten thousand times more cool, but that's not it: what makes this place so much fun is YOU. Yes, you. And you. And you, too.

I'm never not amazed by the creativity of our players, past and present, as well as the heart they put into their characters and writing; it's the determination and skills of all of you that make the game so alive -- every time I open my f-list, I know I'm gonna see something that will make me laugh, cry or just smile and simply make my day. You've been doing that for exactly two years, after all.

I've been in Route since day one -- watching it... evolve (hurr) into its current form has been an amazing experience, and I do hope to see even more! Everyone who's ever been here has left a mark, and it just wouldn't be the same without them, you know? I consider it an honor to be able to take part in creating something this wonderful; that's why, here and now, I'd like to say THANK YOU to everyone I've ever tagged with... as well as to those I haven't had the pleasure of threading with yet! I wouldn't trade the sleepless nights I've spent on playing with you for anything in the world, not even one full night of sleep.

ETA: So I totally didn't come in here just to wish Route happy birthday and then just kind of forgot about it, too busy spitting love all over the place. Nope. No sir.

So when I first signed up for this game, it was just one of many I was playing at the time. "Hahaha, a game in the Pokemon world? Cute. Let's give it a try."

And then all of a sudden it became my absolutely favorite game. I not only found new canons to look into and hilarious/touching interactions, but got a fantastic playerbase as well. I've seen drama in other games, I've seen detached communication in other games, but this place actually brings friendship together and gives me such a welcome feeling I've rarely found in other places. I've dropped a few characters here and there, so the one I'll stick with this sappy narrative with is Minnie, since... well, she's the biggest reason I've felt so much love.

When I've applied disney characters to other places, especially animal ones, I rarely got taken seriously and most people would tag me only for laughs and otherwise leave me behind, as if I wasn't adult enough to have memorable CR and be involved in important plots. I expected to get the same treatment here, but instead I got an incredibly amount of support and so much CR I can't carry it all in these flimsy hands. I never would have guessed Minnie would become such an important character, to become a mother to so many and that she would actually matter to someone. In turn, for once I feel like I actually matter to people - that people enjoy my company, that people want me around, that people would be sad if I was gone - and as someone who has devastatingly low self-confidence, this means a lot to me.

The plots are always fantastic, and I feel I can always share my ideas without feeling foolish for it. But one of the most important things for this game, and should be for any game, is that I have SO MUCH FUN HERE! This game has made me laugh and cry and smile, it has been an actual experience to go through. All RPGs should be done so that everyone has fun, and I feel that Route is doing that perfectly.

I feel awkward posting to an anniversary post when I haven't even been here a month, since I don't have any huge memories or know what this place was like in the past. But if this place is always like it's been this past month I don't think I'll have trouble with that next year. I mean, I randomly decide to app into another game even though I'm not sure I can handle two, and everything goes fine. I app an obscure version of an already lesser-known character, and in my intro post I get someone who not only knows the character but is excited that I've apped him. I worry that I might not be able to make activity checks because I apped a character who isn't too hot on the whole "socializing" thing and there's such a variety of characters and topics that I easily found enough posts for him to comment on to make AC.

Bottom line is I'm blown away at this place already. Keep it up everyone. I wanna get to know you all.

I've been around since day 1, even if the character I played back then is long gone. I remember looking around various communities one day, not really looking for a game but kind of open to ideas, and seeing this Pokémon jamjar that was opening up, and thinking, "Hmm, this sounds like it could be pretty cool. ...Eh, why not? Could be fun."

...and here we are two years later, and I have no regrets. :)

The plots are awesome, the characters are awesome, the players are awesome... Everything about Route is awesome and wonderful and amazing and I love this game so much. I'm not really all that good at putting my love down into a lot of detail, but it's true: I love everything about Route 29.

Two years, wow.

I remember being nervous about apping here originally. It was only my second game on LJ, and I wasn’t sure if anyone would even want to interact with Cobra. Then I got to meet some of the players during that AIM chat the mods set up prior to the game opening and everyone was awesome and wonderful. Then the game itself opened and everything was equally awesome and wonderful, and it’s been that way for two years.

I don’t think I can properly express how much fun I’ve had in Route, but just everything is so much fun. EVERYTHING! I’m pretty sure I’ll hit the character limit for comments if I go into detail, so yeah, everything about this game is wonderful from the characters to the players to the mods to the game itself. I love this place so much, and I’m glad to be a part of it.

I am still pretty new to this game ahaha. I've gone through a fair number of games in my still relatively short lj/dw career and i kept ended up dropping them because they never felt right. I even did that with route, ahah whoops. But now that i'm here again i feel like i've finally found somewhere that clicks
