What you're looking for: I think this month I'm going to be looking for a little more spontaneity when it comes to my roster; I know "slice of life" gets something of a bad rep, but I'd really like to do some CR-building in less-than-dramatic ways this month, particularly in anticipation of Prom, when presumably my characters will have the opportunity to meet in person all the people they've been befriending over the past few months! I'm thinking largely of doing completely average things played hilarious — butt-dialing people, getting obsessed with Tetris or the newly-released Poffin Poker, stupid Pokemon shenanigans, people randomly getting chased by bees, drive-by fruitings...just dumb quirky stuff without too much hefty plot attached, but that makes for a good basis upon which to build deeper interactions later!

Location: I think she's actually in Vermilion right now, and heading to Celadon in the very near future.

Blurb: Carmen Sandiego is the world's greatest thief; she's an icon of 90's edutainment and exists to make you learn shit without even realizing you're learning shit. She's Wikipedia before Wikipedia ever existed, and she puts that knowledge into your head through gratuitous amounts of really hyperbolic thievery. Character-wise, she's classy and brilliant and an incorrigible flirt, and she loves to show off her own skills and see others put theirs on display. Lately she's been undergoing a fair amount of character development that's been teaching her to be slightly less of an accidental sociopath and a little better at behaving like a decent human being, which is never a bad thing, but she took a few hits to her ego in order to get there so I imagine she'll be taking some time to get her confidence back up to scratch for the next month or two, now.

Plans: She needs to challenge for the Vermilion badge, which is why she's in the city at the moment, but after that my goal is to have her travel around and visit some of the people she knows in person, so if you're part of her CR (or want to be!) and would like a visit from Carmen as she roams the world, let me know and let's set something up!

Blurb: Parker is her canon's world's greatest thief and she is very, very good at what she does. The problem is, she's really kind of only good at what she does, and socializing does not generally fall under that umbrella. She's quirky and blunt and doesn't have a whole lot of tact, misses subtle social cues, likes direct solutions to problems, and is desperately in love with money. She's also currently attached to the Dangans and has been spending a lot of time trying to rehab Ishimaru, so there's always that to take into consideration, too.

Plans: ...Okay, look, I'm just going to put this out there because I have no shame — does anybody want to attempt to date Parker. I know this is a super weird thing to ask for but given that it'll take a little while to build up CR to the point where she might say yes (or get coerced into it)...WOULD SOMEONE LIKE TO TRY because I think it would be funny as hell and apparently that is the theme of my CR meme for this month.

Name + Journal + Series: Kyouko Kirigiri (freshprints) • Dangan Ronpa

Location: Goldenrod City, but I think she's going to head to Saffron and then Celadon soon.

Blurb: Kirigiri is a Japanese teenager whose Super High School Level talent (that is, the unique quality she's particularly renowned for) is one of the canon's big mysteries and therefore I will not spoil it here! However, she's also a pretty excellent detective and joins Naegi in SOLVING ALL THE CRIMES that take place in murderschool, so there's that! She tends to be fairly reserved and generally likes to hang out on the sidelines and watch before really coming out of her shell at all, to the extent that sometimes people forget she's even there. She also has kind of a hilarious tendency of ending conversations by just WALKING THE FUCK AWAY so if ever you are threading with her and she does that, IT'S NOT YOU, IT'S KIRIGIRI. She is, however, getting better at being a people person, because character development is awesome.

Plans: She's going to be leaving the Dangan House soon to go on a badge run, and I'm also considering a somewhat significant character event with her in the near future, involving her having a minor breakdown and also getting mauled by a Salamence, but I want to wait until some of the current Dangan stuff settles down first, and also clear things with her CR well in advance, so.

It takes him a while to get actually attached to anyone, but grudges can happen in a heartbeat.
Plans: No big plans at the moment, but I'm planning on a post where he uses the elaborate makeup kit he got from Route Santa to be in disguise. For...some reason that I haven't decided yet. DOES HE REALLY NEED A REASON? I'm also thinking about making another post from his Yamask at some point. EDIT: He is now having one of his Pokemon stolen as part of Dist's Rocket plot, and until said Pokemon is returned he is going to be one incredibly angry palmtree. Anyone who'd like to do anything with this, let me know!

Plans: He'll be on his cruise with Rose through the 2nd, then they're going to Mt. Moon for a few days before heading back to Johto. They might stop briefly by the Dangan House to visit before they head back up to Ecruteak since they have to pass through Goldenrod anyway? I think it'll depend on if Kirigiri is there or not since she's the one who invited them. SO IDK THERE. Anyway, it's probably safe to say he'll be busy-ish through Valentine's Day but that doesn't mean he'll be completely unavailable so if you want him for something, let me know.

Blurb: Faize is an alien, but he's basically just a human with pointy ears. That's it. That's the difference. ~Space elves~. Anyway, he's a highly logical 18-year-old genius who kind of has some issues with social interaction because he never really learned how to properly do that while he was growing up. Despite the fact that he's very blunt, he's actually a really nice guy. He's not really very talkative, unless you happen to ping one of his interests; in which case: good luck getting him to shut up. He uh...likes magic and swords? And learning new things. He's like a little knowledge sponge.
Plans: Uh...absolutely nothing. I'm going to see about canon updating him and sort of starting fresh with him in February because he's been kind of stalling in Route and I think his canon point is a big part of the problem. Live and learn: I spent two weeks waffling on canon points and picked the wrong one.

Blurb: Kuzuryuu is the Super High School Level Gangster. He is straight up Yakuza, don't mess with him because he is HARDCORE. No okay he's actually a softie, it's just covered by layers and layers of anger and insults. And threats. Can't forget the threats. Also he's ridiculously tsundere I really just don't know what to tell you about this kid. As long as you don't insult him, you might be able to have a semi-decent conversation with him but if you call him baby-face or treat him like a kid, that's it. Game over.
Plans: He's headed for the Dangan House in Goldenrod because he needs to have A Talk with Hinata about Things but he probably won't be staying there for more than a few days. Because he's kind of a butt. In all likelihood, he'll head back to Violet after that to train up to take on the gym. So I have no real set in stone plans for him, just kind of playing it by ear.

I'm interested in CR between Rude and Kuzuryuu! Rude generally interacts better with people who are loud-mouthed and rash, because they force him out of his normal shell. I know they have a current thread going at Kuzuryuu's intro; would it be possible for them to meet up in person some day? Rude's currently at Goldenrod.

Also, about Leon...I don't know, XD. What would you like? Reconciliation or conflict, for the time being or for life?

Blurb: A smart-mouthed, abrasive teenage delinquent-turned-reluctant defender of humanity with a chip on his shoulder, a hair-trigger temper, and a BURNIN' LOVE for brawling. Yusuke Urameshi is a classic Jerk with a Heart of Gold: while he can be - and genuinely is, in many respects - an enormous asshole, he's also a lot softer on the inside than he lets on, with a Good Guy streak that manifests itself most strongly in his devotion and loyalty to his friends - as well as in how many of your bones he'll splinter if he ever catches you messing with the people he cares about or preying on the weak and/or innocent. He is also inexplicably awesome with children, even though they occasionally do stupid shit like walk right into traffic. Sigh.
Plans: Yusuke's still coping with that protagonist manpain I talked about last time, but he's planning on joining the PGC, so I reckon getting involved in some world-saving/bad guy chasing will assuage some of that! Aside from that, he and the rest of his crew are doing a badge run, so I'm hoping that by sometime next month he'll be up to six badges. MOVIN' ON UP.

Also it's Keiko's birthday at the end of the month, so there's that, too. He might give her a birthday kiss. It will probably be really cute and really stupid. I am excited.

Blurb: Like most young video game protagonists (or like... roughly half since the rest fall into the FRIENDSHIP IS MAGIC shounen category), Heather is a snarky, sharp-tongued kid with a rough nature and a dark past. Slow to trust strangers and quick to assume the worst, Heather tends to keep people at a safe distance (while joking around and maintaining enough of a goofball exterior that it somewhat disguises that) and has fallen into some wince-worthy patterns of behavior in the interest of safety against perceived threats. Of course, underneath the grunge, she's got a heart of gold that usually wins out. Interests include parkour and kickin' ass.
Plans: WELLP, as I said above, she's going to be going to Goldenrod briefly with the double-goal of picking up Henry Townshend AND settling a score with Wreck-It Ralph (yeah, that's.... gonna go well), so if anyone in or around Goldenrod wants some face-to-face CR with Heather, now's the time!

Blurb: Katara has been in and out of Route a few times now, and gone through a lot of growth since a lot of her time here has been spent without her canonmates. She's friendly towards about everyone she meets, but can still be thrown off and confused by certain behaviors or cultural differences. She's also generally a very expressive person with a mothering-complex and you don't want to get on her bad side because she can be EXTREMELY preachy and ranty.

She's the founder of the Welcome Center (which you can find information about here at welcometojohto.dreamwidth.org and also currently a member of Squad 1 of the PGC.

Plans: PGC things, Welcome Center things- I want to get that advertised more but right now the one resource we're lacking is volunteers! People to act as chaperones and what not. Katara will eventually make her way back to one of the houses to keep an eye on things herself once she finishes her badge tour (because proceeds/winnings are going into the WC funds ok).

Boop boop, I realized that the last time we've talked about the Welcome Center was over plurk like months ago, so here I am! Tenten'll be more active and involved now that Sasuke's gone -- she needs things to do, so when she's not doing stuff for the PGC, she'll want to help at the Welcome Center; she'd be most interested in training people and their Pokémon on how to survive on the routes as well as how to train.

She'll also be willing to donate eggs to the Welcome Center as well, if that's something Katara would be interested in. Otherwise they'll probably end up going to the Breeding Center.

I know there are a few Rockets out there that he hasn't met yet, so it would be great for him to get to know who he's working with aside from his peeps in the science department. If your character is sciencey/scholarly they might get along too, but Dist is kind of annoying so it's hard to say if he'll end up driving them off, haha. For Hagakure, some clients for his fortune-telling service would be awesome. And more friends are always great! He's not so good with making friends but he's getting better!
